Corporate social responsibility is nothing but the step taken by the organization which is beneficial for the society. Organizations is an instrument of domination and act as a single dominant system for the society whose presence or absence affects the society as a whole.
Business sustainability is an important aspect of controlling the problems of consumerism and also focus on meeting customers' needs. Sustainable business focus towards creating economic value, healthy ecosystems and strong communities. This type of business strives to meet the triple bottom-line.
Sustainability helps in shaping the future of logistics. Customers are more positive towards buying the products that are safe for them as well as the society. The important aspects of sustainable products are they are safe for the society, create positive thoughts in people's mind, minimize social and economic impact, safe for the environment and are manufactured in the right way.
In order for a company to implement corporate social responsibilities, strategic management plays important role to make sure that the organization is acting in accordance with the ethical standards. Strategic management involves formulating the mission statement which provides bigger picture about the reason for existence of the organization. Mission statement also influence the work practices that are implemented with corporate social responsibilities.
