Answer #1

FALSE

The winds on Earth more specifically all Surface Winds don't always travel from equator to the poles. The winds follow a path that is determined by some forces, such as Pressure Gradient, Coriolis Force, and Surface Friction. Generally winds follow a direction that depends on pressure differences of Earth surface and these differences can cause the wind to travel in any particular direction. There are enormous Dynamics that govern the direction of surface winds. There are distinct pressure belts on the earth which govern the wind pattern at macro level Coriolis force and friction deflects the winds from a straight path. So the direction of surface winds depends on a number of factors. So the statement that surface winds travel from equator to poles is FALSE.
