If A represents body wt. in pounds, then A/2.2 is used to convert body weight into kilograms.

A/2.2= B, where B represent body weight in Kg

Thus 187/2.2 = 85 Kg

The RDA of grams of protein needed (American diet) = 0.8 x 85 {or (A/2.2) *0.8)

(0.8g of protein/kg of body weight is the RDA for protein)

Thus, Parkers daily protein need is =68g
