Question 2 free surface fluid 1 fluid 2 fR h2 plate moves at constant speed U Figure 2: Bottom plate moves at constant speed under two unmixed fluids Consider a two-dimensional Newtonian, steady state, incompressible flow of two fluids over an infinite horizontal plate moving at speed U 1 m/s, as shown in figure 2. Fluid 1 t; water with a denai y Pi IIXX? kr/m, a dyiuunic ven rity of ,4 1 x 10-s 1.ati, iuul a depth of h 1 c, while fluid 2 is glycerol with a density p2 1250 kg/m3, a dynamic viscosity of ?2-1 Pa-s, and a depth h2-1 cm. a) Calculate the velocity profile of the flow. State your assumptions and show your work. b) Calculate the mass flow rate per unit width.

I asked this previously and wasn't given an answer, just methods that I could use. It was really unhelpful. I woudl thankful to whoever actually solves this.

Consider the steady, laminar flow of two liquids, A and B, with viscosities HA-μ and μΒ 21, respectively, between infinite parallel plates at 2- a, as shown in the diagram below. The plate at 2 a is fixed, while the plate at 2a moves with constant velocity -Vi, where V0. The liquids do not mix, and each forms a layer of depth a. There is an applied pressure gradient acting on both liquids, given by ▽p--Ci (where C > 0...

1 In many fluids, the flow velocity is observed to vary linearly from zero at the bottom to u at the top. Moreover, the magnitude F of the force acting on the top plate is found to be proportional to the speed and the area A of eaclh plate, and inversely proportional to their distance separation y The proportionality factor μ is the viscosity of the fluid. Using the above equation find out the dimensions of (10 pts.) A car...
