How is a Tsunami different from regular ocean waves?
The tsunami is caused by a wave known as Harbour Wave.

This wave differ from that of regular ocean waves in terms of its amplitude and wavelength and velocity.
The tsunami wave is a low amplitude and high wavelength wave as compared to the regular ocean wave which is of low wavelength and high amplitude.
Besides the Tsunami waves are Jet speed waves having a velocity of around 800 km/hr which is several times higher than the regular ocean waves.
