Conduction of current takes place through conductors. And this flow of electric charge from one end to other is guided by the difference between the potentials of the two ends.
Exposed Conductive Parts
Exposed Conductive Parts are merely the bare Conductors which are in continuous exposure to the environment. They are the electrical conductor which are used to transmit electricity. These are basically electrical link between the generating end to the consumer end. Exposed Conductive Parts are required to have higher Conductivity and higher thermal stability. Possibilities of ocurance of faults are maximum in case of these Exposed Conductive Parts.
Circuit Protective Switch
Circuit Protective Switches are the over-current and over-voltage protection elements. These are used along with or in between the Exposed Conductive Parts to limit the over-current and over-voltage in case of the faults. These are fuses, circuit breaker, over-voltage protection relay, isolators etc. Fuse blows off when current which is more than the specified rating flows through it, similarly over-voltage protection relay actuates when it senses over-voltage and hence breaks the circuit.
Crux : Exposed Conductive Parts provide a path for the flow of electricity and circuit Protective Switches are used to protect these paths.

When exposed to air, aluminum metal, Al, reacts with oxygen, O2, to produce a protective coating of aluminum oxide, Al2O3, which prevents the aluminum from rusting underneath. The balanced reaction is shown here: 4Al+3O2→2Al2O3 a. What is the theoretical yield of aluminum oxide if 1.60 mol of aluminum metal is exposed to 1.50 mol of oxygen?
15. What ocurs when an intermittent gap between conductors or a conductor and ground permits current to jump between the two conductive surfaces a. ground-fault b. arc-fault minimum current intermittent open c.
