the height of object , ho = 43 cm

the object distance , do = 2.1 m

the focal length of lens , f = - 0.49 m

using the mirror formula

1/f = 1/di + 1/do

1/(-0.49) = 1/di + 1/(2.1)

solving for di

di = - 0.397 m

the image distance is - 0.397 m

b)

the image height , hi = ho * ( - di /do)

hi = 43 * ( - (-0.397) /2.1) cm

hi = 8.14 cm
