INTRODUCTION :- Crime refers to those deeds by the people which are not acceptable as per the norms of society, and considering the legal aspect also, such doing of people are prohibited.Crimes violates the norms being made for the people, and creates some or the other kind of damage in the well being of others, and thus people committing it,are being punished by the laws or the system prevailed.

WHAT ARE THE MAIN CAUSES OF CRIME IN THE SOCIETY?

Crime are cause by many reasons,as such sometimes due to the factor that people feels pleasure while creating painful situation for the others, thus in the process they do some thing, which is completely against our legal system.Apart from there are various other reason which leads to the causation of crime which can be seen as under:-

  • LACK OF EDUCATION :- The major cause of any crime is lack of education.Education is the key source of solution to any problem prevailed in society,as in,with the education, the overall mind and personality of the individual develops, which helps him to distinguish between right and wrong, and stops him from doing any wrong thing. But in the absence of it,there are chances for him to get engage in some of those activities which are of criminal kind.It is even seen that, people engaged in severe criminal activities generally lacks education.
  • POOR ECONOMIC CONDITION :- Another cause of crime is the poor economic condition. It is one such situation in which people even though initially does not want to get involve in any such thing which is of criminal nature, but due to lack of resources required to lead a life, may force them to get involve in crime such as stealing etc.
  • LACK OF EMPLOYMENT :-One more significant cause of crime is lack of employment. When a person fails to seek employment, even after taking lots of efforts for it,then somehow he may get involve in crime,to get a job of his preference. In such situation he might get involve in the corruption activity, which is one of the major crime,in order to get the job.

If,these causes of crime could somehow be eliminated, the crime rate will eventually drops down.It is so because, every criminal has its own reason for the crime,so when these reasons itself will be removed, the rate of crime will eventually lowers down. So,it is prior that in order to remove the crime or to lower down its rate,it is primarily required that we should work on removing those reasons which are basically the root cause behind it.

ARE CAUSES OF VIOLENT AND WHITE COLLAR DIFFERENT? HOW?

Yes,the causes of violent and white collar crime are different. The major reason behind the differences of these two kinds of crime is their nature of criminal activity. It refers to the sense, that as as the name itself suggest the violent crime includes some or the other form of violence,in which the victim is made to be the subject of the criminal and thus faces his violence in any form such either through assaulting physically or through the use of some kind of weapon. But on the other hand, white collar does not have any such feature of violence, rather it is those crime which is being conducted at any organisation by some of the renowned people, such as in the form of any fraud,or even including the condition of corrupting the work place.

Since, both the nature varies,so the violent crime is usually caused either due to lack of economic condition, which makes the person burglar,as a result he starts attacking people,in order to steal things, but on the other hand in white collar,as the people do not have any such condition where they are economically deprived yet they commit crime of either bribe or even corruption,it due to the fact that either they want something to be done for them, and as such using illegal ways,if not possible legally,or due to their greediness to enhance their wealth and power respectively.

WHAT FIXES HAVE PEOPLE TRIED THAT HAVE HAD SIGNIFICANT IMPACT ON CRIME RATES?

Fixes that people have tried that had significant impact on crime rates are getting more involve and careful in their activities, and in tolerating anything insignificant so that the crime rate could be reduced.Other than this, the policies made by the system regarding the consumption of alcohol, that is enhancing the rates of tax involved in the alcohol, and other than that people creating hindrance could lead to the condition where their rights with respect to the consumption of alcohol can be prohibited plays a major role in the crime rate.

Apart from this active participation of people around, that is complaining about any of the insignificant activities taking place around, and the active vigilance of the police authorities have a great impact in lowering down the crime rates.

Alternatively, should genetic information be used to pre-emptively identify potential killers or other predisposed to violence? Is it...

Possibly one of the most significant social topics of our time is how technology, and specifically social media, is influencing different aspects of social psychology. This is particularly relevant to our topic here in a few different ways. One that stands out is the idea that people experience deindividuation in social media and are therefore more likely to conform to a group norm or to say/write things that they would not normally do in their "real" lives. As one example...

Mutations in Viral hemagglutinin genes create slightly different glycoproteins that can attack different areas of the respiratory system, resulting in varying levels of infectiousness. Since hemagglutinins have specificity for particular cells and can evolve via mutations and recombination, they represent a very efficient tool for infection. However, because hemagglutinins provide a clear means for...

Deliberate tradition is traditions that are deliberately designed to create a moral society. Confucianism embraces this idea because he wants to design a society where people are good by nature. Some advantages of this tradition is that it promotes empathy, diligence, leading by example, the arts, and service to others. Regarding the quote of page 163 of the reading, I agree that the United States lacks tradition despite being called the melting pot. Rather than embracing and encouraging tradition, America...

Luckily, parents have this uncanny ability when those people are their kids. Kenny and I are utilitarians, so we made the following table. From this information, answer...
