Why would my standard enthalpy of a reaction be different than the heat produced by the...

Why would my standard enthalpy of a reaction be different than the heat produced by the same reaction (1 mole of x combusted)?

Example) my heat produced by the reaction of 1 mole of gasoline is -6.0X10^3 kj/mol while my standard enthalpy change for the same reaction is -4.98x1-^3 kj. What is the difference between calculating standard enthalpy vs heat produced?

in case of combustion, the standard enthalpy change refers to the heat released at 0 0C. The reason your values are different is because your reaction may have been performed at room temperature rather than 0 degrees celsius.
