I need help with number 4. The answer is CsCl, but I don't know how to get there. And if you can, please explain the procedure for finding the empirical formula from crystalline unit cells to help me solve other problems like this. Thanks!

Empirical formula of the given crystal unit cell = CsCl

It is a body centered unit cell.

Number of atoms from the center of unit cell = 1 atom

number of atoms from the corners of the unit cell = (8 corners)*(1/8 part of each atom from each corner)

                                                                                       = 8*1/8

                                                                                       = 1 atom

Center atom = Cs

Corner atom = Cl

empirical formula of the body centered unit cell given is ==> CsCl
