1.Define and describe CoP
Communities of Practice (COP) is a collection or a set of people who share a common domain of interest and gains expertise of how to do the task better through frequent interaction within this set. The term COP was introduced by Jean Lave and Etienne Wenger in 1991. It is a learning theory based on the emphasis on the social formation of knowledge. The community grows through collective learning of matters related to their domain of interest The community grows together by understanding new ways of working, together, generating solutions, and by sharing these practices and ideas. The community is dynamic and fosters learning for everyone in the group. Here newcomers with the same interest join the group and learn the activities of the community.COP is used in organizations, Governments, Associations, web, social sector, international development, Education etc.
