I agree with the statement mentioned above. The reason being, the need to recruit employees arrives not only from current requirement, but also future requirements of the firm. As a result, the candidate being hired must not only be competent in the present field, but also be highly adaptive i.e. able to adapt himself/herself to new situations and take up different roles. This requires the individual to be able to learn and develop new skills as and when required by the firm. Hence, the new candidate needs to be agile in terms of skill set development.
