Answer #1

SOLUTION :

a.

Molar mass of CH4 = 12 + 4 = 16 g

So, number of moles in 18 g of CH4 = 18/16 = 1.125 moles (ANSWER)

b.

Molar mass of NO = 14 + 16 = 30 g

So, number of moles in 236 g of NO = 236/30 = 7.87 moles (ANSWER)

c.

Molar mass of ClO2  = 35 + 32 = 67 g

So, number of moles in 404 g of ClO2  = 404/67 = 6.03 moles (ANSWER)

d.

Molar mass of Glycerine C3 H8 O3 = 36 + 8 + 48 = 92 g

So, number of moles in 892 g of C3 H8 O3 = 892/92 = 9.70 moles (ANSWER)
