1. A normal Switch has a function of connecting two networks, or 2 devices connected to 2 different networks.

But now a day this function is not sufficient in large organizations, the advanced features of Switches Which Include Traffic flow Monitoring helps the organization by analyzing the data to how much extent the traffic on the network of their organization has increased, or decreased, this helps the organization to help grow their network.

2.The Advantages are: -

  • Helps to monitor Network Traffic.
  • Help the Organization Improve and look where the problem lies, if network has an error.
  • Grow their network and Clients.

Disadvantages: -

  • High Cost
  • Requires Maintenance

3. Wireless Access Point refers to a hardware device, which helps a WIFI compatible device to get connected to a Wired Network, now a days Wireless Access points are a part of Router Itself.

Basic Features of Wireless Access point are:

  • To connect a device to a wired network, but has less range.
  • Can connect less number of devices.

Advanced Features of Wireless Access point are:

  • Large Range
  • Connects more devices at a time.
  • Has High Speed.

4. In an Office Network, I would prefer to use the Advances Wireless access point feature, as in an office the devices will be more, the speed required will be more, and as a office in a large area, the device will be able to cover a large area.
