I'm really stuck on choosing a topic on what to write my trivial essay on. When I mean trivial i mean a topic that is "unimportant" in today's world that people talk about or discussed as a trend. It's due in few days and I haven't started, so if possible please list topics along with some ideas on what to write for each topic. Hope your list of topics help and Thank You in advance if they do help. Also for each topic if you can demonstrate a thesis statement as a guideline for each topic so It's easier to understand what could be discussed throughout the essay.

Choose another thing that might be dismissed as trivial and make a scholarly argument for its significance. Your argument should be specific, academic, and based in tangible evidence.

The YouTube videos become trend immediately, when it shows some sensational news of a politician/famous personality/scandal or messages that become viral once it is loaded and forwarded, people without checking the authenticity of the video or massages keep on forwarding and sharing, thus making a chain, there will be thousands of viewers sending their remarks, likes and dislike, and then we will come to know that it was the trick of Photoshop or the message is fake. The message was sent to excite the public, take their reactions and enjoy.

This is an unimportant reaction and not required, to be gossiped, or take pleasure out of it, these topics die on their own, and the public forgets as these are unimportant, they give them momentary pleasure but not related to their lives. Now we know these are all tricks of Photoshop and mix and match technique, thus they are unimportant to us and now people do not like to discuss this unimportant news.

The other one that cannot be dismissed as trivial is the effect of media on children, the rise in mental disorder, depression anxiety, teenage pregnancies, alcohol, drugs, and smoking.

These are the real social problem the country is facing, with the easy availability of alcohol, drugs, and smoking, there is a rise in teenage and unwanted pregnancies, the media gives new ideas through pornography, the young mind to draw pleasure out of it take a shot, start taking the narcotics, and become addicted, to fulfill their need, they do not hesitate to do robbery/killing and create violence.

These are all chain reaction, and now everyone has access to it, the young mind with hormonal changes are unable to control themselves, try to learn everything through touching the screen of their mobile or watching on TV.

The problems are increasing day by day with increased technology, this shows we have developed in material need, and that is still not fulfilled, each coming day brings new invention and with it comes new problems. We have to create an understanding in the young mind, telling them about the negative aspect of narcotics, and sexual exploitation, they should be provided religious knowledge and taught to handle the depression and anxiety by sharing their difficulty and taking their well-wishers advice.
