List the pathway the sperm takes from the sight of spermatogenesis to ejaculation.
Spermatogenesis or production of sperms takes place in the testis.immature sperms enter the epididymis. During ejaculation, sperms exit epididymis through its tail part and enters the deferent duct. From here the sperms again travels up the spermatic cord into the pelvic cavity and then into the prostate. Ejaculatory duct passes through the prostate and when ejaculation occurs, sperms are expelled out through the ejaculatory duct.

Why is most mitochondrial DNA maternal? The zygote receives little, if any, cytoplasm from the sperm. Oogenesis requires less energy and contains less cytoplasmic material. The ratio of gamete production is 4:1. Spermatogenesis is a longer process than oogenesis and uses up most of its energy from mitochondria.
