Answer #1

given,
wavelength = 500 nm
= (500*10^-7) cm
= (5*10^-5) cm

use,
wavenumber = 1/(wavelength)
= 1/(5*10^-5)
= (0.2*10^5) cm^-1
= (2*10^4) cm^-1

Answer: (2*10^4) cm^-1
