A spring loaded valve is to be used for operation of compressed air. The valve seat is 10 mm in radius. When the pressure on the valve reaches 1.05 N/mm2, its opening starts and when the pressure reaches 1.4 N/mm2, the valve must be completely open. During the operative pressure range, the valve lift is 6 mm. The steel used for the spring material has yield strength of 2000 MPa, and a shear modulus of 85 kN/mm2. Design the spring assuming appropriate data, if deemed necessary.
