Take a look at what and how much the people of our country know about statistics. Are we adequately educated in the ins and outs of statistics? Do we know enough about statistics to make informed decisions? What is the state of statistics education in America? Is education on statistics adequate and, if not, how can it be improved?

Comment and explain.

The Labor Department publishes the unemployment rate each month and both sides of the political aisle kick into high gear to proclaim the numbers wonderful or horrible. But what is the unemployment rate? Is there just one? How are they gathered and calculated? Are there more than one number involved with the unemployment rate?

Do some research and find out more about the unemployment rate, what it is, and why it is or isn't important.

In my research for the number of people who know about the field statistics or about one of the the important discipline of mathematical science i.e. statistics or one can say statistical science.very few in number of people who properly know about the statistics.only 2-3% of our total population knew the exact meaning of statistics bad rest of them are very far apart from this knoleknow.it is a very poor situation of because when we don't know about statistics or about data then how can we made a proper decision about any relevant situation .for example- For treatment of anybody we prefer that doctor whose previous records are good in sense that he succeeded in more number of operations.if he performs 5 operations and got success in 4 then his success rate is 80% and suppose another doctor who got success in 3 out of 5 operations so we prefer first doctor to the second one whose success rate is 80% .so in descision making one should have proper knowledge about statistics then he can decide in a better way.

We don't have much knowledge about ins and outs of statistics.only experts of this descipline know it's effect and able to imply very smoothly in taking a proper decision or in concluding.one of the most important aspects of this descipline is estimation theory .in this theory on the basis of small part of population we draw a conclusion for the whole population.this inturn helps us in saving time, money and work force of the country.

Not in every case we have much prior knowledge about the statistics so that we can take informed decision properly.for taking informed decision one should take care about the data regarding the matter or the related topics on which decision is to made. For example-

If we want to make a dam over the river then we have to take care about the rainfall of that area because if we don't know that how much CMS of rain occurred in the last 15-20 years then we are going to take wrong descison and commits mistake and thus the new constructed dam will not be able to stop the flow of water easily and the chances of floods increases.

In America the statistics education system is more widen and spread over the large part of the country.we can say this on the basis of their descison,infr infrastruc, management and technology on which they are working is well managed and works in a well maintained manner. As they work on data for example- suppose one electronic product launch by a company but the feedback given by the people about that product is not up to the mark as expected by the company then the company will improve the quality of product as fast as possible but afterwards also there is no any improvement seen in that product then the company will stop production.this is the best way of descison marking..

At some extent the education system is good .only few development can be made so that more and more proper and smooth descison marking can be achieved.for this the country has to implement statistical education from primary level in schools so that they can know the ins and outs of statistics. Practical problems on descison making should be given to them so that they lift there thinking power of brain and become a good descison maker. In government department also there should be such official who knows much and more about statistics so that they can run govt. smoothly..

The data on unemployment rate published by labour department is increasing gradually day by day.this all occur due the advancement of technology, illiteracy,not willing to work etc..due to advancement of technology there are various machines launched which can do the work of 1000 of people in a few minutes or hrs.illiteracy is also one of the major cause for gradual increase in illiteracy rate.

Unemployment rate is nothing but the share of labour force that is jobless and is expressed in percentage . This rate changes from time to time.when the economy is in its poor condition then there is scarce of job and it's percentage increase and when the economy is growing at a healthy rate then it's rate decrease as there is more opportunities for job. There are it's various types .it can be calculated by general formula given below

Unemployment=( unemployed ÷labour force)× 100 ( in %)

Every month the census bureau collect data from each household on the badbaof race , ethnicity,gender,age and geographical location.the sample is rotated so that 75% of household are constant from month to month and 50% from year to year.the same excludes people below 16 years of age and the one who is in armed forces.people in mental health care , correctional facility are also excluded.interviews are done and questions are asked on employment status but do not asked whether the person or respondent are employed or not.infromation are also collected from induarin,acera av earnings people and then on considering these all data unemployment rate is constructed.

There are various number involved in unemployment rate like unemployed 15 + weeks ,job looser, discouraged workers, unemployed workers and marginally attached workers.these all are included in calculating the unemployment rate of country .so we can say that there are various number data related with this.

At last but not least I want to conclude that the unemployment rate is one of the multidisciplinary field which has wide range of data collected on the basis of various subjects.it is important for knowing the status of any country or locality or of any area.the more people of the locality educated that means less is the unemployment rate .the country with less unemployment rate is considered as developing country.like our country India is consider as developing nations .our country has 355747353 people unemployed out of 1,173,108,018..India is among the country where there is a large number of people are unemployed...
