Answer #1

1. Neurogenic Shock.

The common cause of Neurogenic shock is a trauma to the spinal cord from motor vehicle accidents.

The symptoms of Neurogenic shock are

  • Bradycardia i.e. low heart rate (in this case, it is 48)
  • Hypothermia i.e. decreased body temperature (in this case, the injured person's skin is cool and pale)
  • skin feels cold and clammy to touch
  • fainting
  • filling of anxiety due to which blood pressure may be irregular.

2. Insert the oral airways

In unconscious patients, one of the most common cause is airway obstruction which is due to tongue. Once a person loses consciousness, the toungue may fall to the back of the throat and block the patient's airways. In such cases, use of an oral airways is an effective way to maintain an open airway to improve the respiration or breathing of a patient. Also, it allows you to ventilate further the patient effectively if needed.

3. Cover with a sterile moist dressing in abdominal evisceration

Till the emergency service arrive, we can give an advanced first aid treatment for abdominal evisceration to the patient. you can cover the exposed organ and wound opening with sterile plastic wrap. If available, a sterile dressing wrap which is soaked in sterile saline solution should be used to cover the protruding organs. This prevents the internal organs, tissues and organs from drying off.

4. Splint the finger and apply an ice pack to the sternum

A splint can be applied to the deformed finger to get in regular form and compress the tender area with ice which will help to reduce the swelling.
