Answer #1

A culture of despair indicates a negative feedback based on the expectations by employees in an organization and this degrades the organizational culture on the higher intensity or on the faster rate. This links to inequality at workplace which affects the trust level , respect for each other, workplace conflicts, fear of losing the work opportunities or losing job, absence of appropriate performance measures, no contribution from the employees and no focus towards the training and development of the employees. Hence, makes a culture of despair so debilitating. Whereas a culture of delight indicates more result oriented expectations from employees. By considering employees as a vital competitive asset, focus towards employees training and development to fulfill career aspirations, job enlargement or creation of job roles where employees can contribute actively to the organization, healthy delegation of the work to take more accountability by employees, use of proper performance measures, reward systems in place, good compensation structure and employee benefits, and continuous effort to build mutual respect among employees and management, leads to more employee empowerment. Hence, it is worthwhile to culture of delight is so empowering.
