Function of three structure of basal ganglia;

Ho control of voluntary motor movements, * proudural learning, x habit learning, & Eye movements a cognition & Emotion.

Location of basal.ganglia in brain:deep to the cereberal hemisphere (above to midbrain and below to forebrain).

Neurological relationship to nearby structure are cereberal cortex,thalamus,brain stem.

Neurological disorder realted to basal ganglia function:Obsessive compulsive disorder.Tourettesyndrome.

Caudate nucleus located in centre of the brain,

Neurological structure realtion of caudate nucleus is putamen.

Neurological disorder of caudate nucleus: Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease.

Putamen is located in the base of forebrain.

Neurological relationship to nearby structure are caudate nucleus,substantia nigra,globus pallidus and thalamus.

Neurological disorder relation to putamen: Parkinson's disease and Huntington disease.

Substantia nigra located in midbrain.

Neurological relationship to nearby structure are globus pallidus and thalamus.

Neurological disorder to the function: schizophrenia and Parkinson's disease.
