Answer #1

Question 1)

Answer is option 2.

Explanation:

Gluconeogenesis and glycolysis are metabolic pathways in which former convert some non-carbohydrate carbon compounds to glucose and later converts glucose to pyruvate. Both proceeds via a number of steps which include a number of intermediates.

In case of gluconeogenesis, one of the intermediate is oxaloacetate which is formed by the carboxylation of pyruvate. And this oxaloacetate intermediate is not seen in glycolysis.

Question 2)

Answer is option 1.

Explanation :

The non-carbohydrate carbon precursor used to synthesis glucose includeds amino acids. Not all amino acids are used. Only glyvlcogenic amino acids are used. So this option is correct.

Fatty acid cannot be converted in to glucose directly in human but fatty acid can act as fuel in gluconeogenesis. So this is wrong option.

Insulin act as inhibitor in case of gluconeogenesis. So option is also wrong.

Gluconeogeneis increases the blood glucose level, not reducing the level. So this option is also wrong.
