Answer #1

In cell generally the reactions takes place in the cells cytoplasam, metabolic reactions takes place in cytosol in prokaryotes, but in eukaryotes only the fermentation process takes place in cytosol in the absence of oxygen and remaining occurs in the mitochondria of cell which requires oxygen.
Fermentation is a metabolic process that converts the sugars into acids, gases or alcohols.it occurs in yeast, bacteria and in starved muscle cells as in the case of lactic acid fermentation.
Ethanol fermentation:
C6H12O6 -------( 2C2H5OH + 2 CO2 .

2.
Glycolysis is a metabolic pathway that converts the glucose into pyruvate.
Glycolysis is a oxygen independent metabolic pathway that means it does not use any molecular oxygen during its entire process.
Glycolysis reactions involves the ten enzyme catalyzed reactions.
In glycolysis process, the reactants are C6H12O6 and along with this NAD,inorganic phosphate, and ADP involved.
The products in this reaction are pyruvate along with this NADH and ATP are released.
The overall reaction is
C6H12O6 +2NAD+ + 2Pi + 2 ADP -------(2 PYRUVATE +2NADH + 2ATP.
