1)Type I error is the rejection of a true null hypothesis (also known as a "false positive" finding or conclusion).

Type II error is the non-rejection of a false null hypothesis (also known as a "false negative" finding or conclusion).

2) A dependent variable is a variable whose variations depend on another variable the independent variable. An Independent variable is a variable whose variations do not depend on another variable but the researcher experimenting.

Example of common independent variables are gender and educational level. The dependent variable is the variable being tested and measured in an experiment, and is 'dependent' on the independent variable

3)Annova:

The one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) is used to determine whether there are any statistically significant differences between the means of two or more independent (unrelated) groups (although you tend to only see it used when there are a minimum of three, rather than two groups).
