In addition, it also provides employees with social development, and helps them focus on their personal life. One of the reason why work life balance has become important is because the professional environment has become very demanding.
Technology can be used to automate a lot of the manual task that the employees usually undertake. This can help them finish their work on time and satisfy their need for personal time. In addition the employees’ tasks can be divided across hours and help balance the personal errands and professional work. This is especially true if the work is not time sensitive. For example, the employees could finish some of their work from home if they have access to the company network such as VPN. Similarly use of shared documents across cloud based systems can help employees become more efficient and organize their work. This is how technology can play a major role in providing work-life balance.
