How do you feel about the work-life balance in today's 24/7 "anytime, anywhere" digital workplace that was presented in your eBook. Do you agree with this new philosophy? Do you think this will affect you in your future career? If you already have a job, have you ever felt you had to be available to work 24/7?
Personally speaking, there is less work-life balance in today's 24/7 "anytime, anywhere" digital workplace. The 24/7 availability for the employer has made the employees lose or strain the relationship with their family members. They are stressed more and their main focus is highly in terms of monetary achievements. When they finally achieve the monetary goals and look back at their family, they are far away from their personal relations.
I personally do not agree with the concept of 24/7 “anywhere and anytime” digital workplace. I am person who want to adhere to just the 9 – 6 business hours rather than be available to the employer ‘anywhere and anytime’. I want to spend some of my free time with my lovable ones rather than answering mobile phones, emails or social media comments.
This ideology will not affect my future career aspiration because I would apply to companies that provide a good work life balance. Yes, there are companies who stress on the work life balance rather than the concept of ‘anytime, anywhere’.
I have a managerial role in a multinational publishing company and I never felt that I have to be available 24/7 for my employer. I love my company where I am currently working because they stress more on work-life balance by not encouraging overtime nor 24/7 availability. They adhere to the timing 9am to 6pm until and unless there is an emergency to be available 24/7.

With today's ever increasing digital world- employees are working more during their "off" times, outside of regular business hours.
