Answer #1

Candy-1 sells at 15 cents per pound

Candy-2 sells at 65 cents per pound

Mixture of Candy-1 and Candy-2 sells at 40 cents per pound

The average of Candy-1 and Candy-2 is (15+65)/2= 40

Therefor half pound Candy-1 and half pound Candy-2 can be sells at 40 cents per pound

Therefore same pound of Candy-2 should be mixed with Candy-1 i.e 50 pounds.

Answer - 50 pounds of 65 cents per pound candy should be mixed with 50 pounds of 15 cents per pound candy
