Answer #1

a) Sample mean = 4.55

b) Center point of 95% confidence interval:

(Lower + Upper limit)/2

= (4.4722 + 4.6278)/2 = 4.55

c) because sample mean is the center of confidence interval. Margin of error is added and subtracted from mean to get the upper and lower limit.

d) Lower limit = 4.55 - 2*0.0392 = 4.4716

Upper limit = 4.55 + 2*0.0392 = 4.6284

Which is approximately equal to the confidence interval

e) Answer 3. The probability is 95% that population mean wing length falls in this interval.

i need help with this problem. thank you The authors of a paper describe an experiment to evaluate the effect of using a cell phone on reaction time. Subjects were asked to perform a simulated driving task while talking on a cell phone. While performing this task, occasional red and green lights flashed on the computer screen. If a green light flashed, subjects were to continue driving, but if a red light flashed, subjects were to brake as quickly as...

Lazurus Steel Corporation produces iron rods that are supposed to be inches long. The machine that makes these rods does not produce each rod exactly inches long. The lengths of the rods vary slightly. It is known that when the machine is working properly, the mean length of the rods made on this machine is inches. The standard deviation of the lengths of all rods produced on this machine is always equal to inch. The quality control department takes a...

I need the completed and correct answer asap. thank you A 95% confidence interval for a population mean is from 101 to 104. What can we conclude from this? For 95% of all possible samples from this population, the confidence interval calculation will produce an interval contaming the population mean, so, based on this sample, we believe the population mean is between 101 and 104 The population mean is between 101 and 104 95% of all possible samples from this...
