Let we assume V_a and V_b voltage at terminal a and b respectively let I_2 and I_1 be the current flowing through 6 ohm and 3 ohm respectively so, now: Applying voltage divided rule in loop (1) V-a = (6/6 + 12) times 30V V_a = 10 V By current divider rule Applying at point b I_2 = (3/3 + 6) times 4 = 3/9 times 4 = 4/3 A so, V_b = I_2 times 6 ohm V_b = (4/3 times 6) V_b = 8 V V_tyh = (V_a - V_b) = (10 - 8) V = 2V V_th = 2V to find Rth we will make shorted to current source and make open circuit to voltage source. \r\n so, Resistance 6 ohm and 3 ohm will become useless as all current will pass through shorted path so: circuit will become Rth = 6 ohm
