Research Scenario: A school psychologist has developed two voluntary programs for students in the first two years of high school: one that focuses on peer relationships, and another that focuses on study skills. She specifically wonders whether grade level is related to the type of program attended. She tallies the number of students from each grade who attended each type of program over one year. The results are listed in the table below.
Using this table, enter the data into a new SPSS data file and run a Chi Square Test for Independence to test whether grade level is independent of type of program attended. Remember to weight cases as shown in the presentation. Create a clustered bar chart to show the relationship between the variables.
