Answer #2

SOLUTION :

Weight on moon of a 4 lb bag on earth in Newtons

= m g / 6

(where mass m is in kg on earth and g is free fall acceleration in m/s^2 on earth))

= 4 / 2.20462 * 9.8 / 6

= 2.96 N (ANSWER)

Weight on Jupiter of a 4 lb bag on earth in Newtons

= m g(jupiter)

(where mass m is in kg on earth and g(Jupiter)is free fall acceleration in m/s^2 on Jupiter))

= 4 / 2.20462 * 2.64*9.8

= 46.94 N (ANSWER)

Mass of bag  :

Mass remains same anywhere.

So,

Mass on Earth   :  4/2.20462    = 1.8144 kg

Mass on Moon  : 1.8144 kg

Mass on Jupiter : 1.8144 kg

(ANSWER).
