13)

A) The only type of intermolecular forces in CH4 and CCl4 are London dispersion forces because both are non polar molecules.

CCl4 would be expected to have a stronger inter molecular force (london dispersion force) than CH4 since it possesses more electrons (or higher molecular mass) than CH4.

Thus the magnitude of the dispersion forces present between CCl4 molecules is greater than that between CH4 molecules.

B) Due to higher inter molecular force of attraction between CCl4 molecules it's boiling point will also be higher than CH4 molecules.

Therefore CH4 boils at 111K while CCl4 boils at 350K.
