The bandwidth delay product in the previous question tells you how many bits can be propogating on the transmission line at any one time. imagining that all the bits take up an equal amount of space on the line, determine the width of a bit by dividing the total line length by the number of bits on the line in meters

= 17000*1000/340000 = 50meter
