The given hexameric peptide is EMGNKC

Where E = Glutamic acid

M = Methionine

G = Glycine

N = Asparagine

K = Lysine

C = Cysteine

Here, EMGNKC is treated with the enzyme, i.e. AspN-protease, which can hydrolyze the peptide bonds on the N-terminal side of the amino acids 'D' (Aspartic acid) and 'C'.

Now, out of the two amino acids (D and C), C is present in the given hexapeptide.

Hence, the enzyme AspN-protease cleaves the amide bond in the hexapeptide EMGNKC before the 'C' residue to get EMGNK and C.
