Answer. The gifts of the Nile are:

• The rich black soil that was left over after the seasonal flooding. The farmers of Egypt grew number of crops and farming was an important part of Egyptian civilization.
• The water of the Nile that was important for the agriculture and other other daily activities of the Egyptians is the second gift of Nile.
• The fish of the Nile and the animals that lived near the river was a major source of food for the people living near the river.
• Along the river banks of the Nile papyrus grew, Egyptians used this plant to make paper, sandals and baskets.

-What social classes existed in Egypt and Nubia?

Answer. The society of Egypt included the following classes in hierarchy:

• The Pharoahs were the top in the hierarchy.
• The royal family nobles and government officials were second in the order.
• The priestly class occupied the third position.
• The Scribes occupied the fourth position in the hierarchy.
• The Artists and the Skilled workmen occupied the fifth position in the hierarchy.
• The last in the hierarchy is the labors. They occupied the bottom section in the Egyptian society.

The Nubia social class included:

• Kings and royal families in the top.
• Nobles occupied the second position.
• The priestly class held the third position.
• The peasant were at fourth position.
• The slaves occupied the bottom most position in the society.
