6. How is schizophrenia different from Dissociative Identity Disorder? (Formerly called “Multiple Personality Disorder)?

7. Imagine you were “the doctor” treating Elyn during her hospitalizations. How was Elyn treated? What assumptions about Elyn do you suppose that doctors were making that enabled him/her to justify the actions taken that day? What do you think about those actions and how treatment should be handled?

8. Note what happened to her after she went off her meds. What does that tell you about the causes of schizophrenia?

Answer #1

Note that you can only ask one question at once; for other questions please ask separately.

Loose association is the process of putting words together which do not make sense but sound alike and it seems that they are coherent and should make sense when these words get jumbled up wind where they are no more meaningful then lose association is called word salad. Loose association is often observed in patients with schizophrenia disorder and multiple personality disorders.

For example: "I was thinking about colouring my hair brown when I visited Egypt and there was so much heat but I do not like drinking alcohol", when this particular sentence is told to an individual by another it may seem as the sentence is making sense but when the observer listen carefully they can observe that the two sentences are of different contexts. This is because in disorders like schizophrenia for the patient to maintain focus or tension on one realm.
