The differences between tertiary alcohol and tertiary amine are-

TERTIARY ALCOHOL TERTIARY AMINE
1. Tertiary alcohol has the general formula RR'R"C-OH where R, R’ and R” are hydrocarbon groups. Tertiary amine has the general formula R R’ R” N where R, R’ and R” are hydrocarbon groups.
2. It consists of a central Oxygen atom with three organic groups bound to it which may be same or different. It consists of a central nitrogen atom with three organic groups bound to it which may be same or different.
3. The word 'Tertiary' refers to Oxygen atom The word 'Tertiary' refers to Nitrogen atom
4. example- t-butanol example- N,N-dimethylaniline
