Answer #1

Ans-1) Experimental design refers to allocating participants to Different conditions and observing how they react in an experiment. The experimental design chosen here is Independent measures. In this type of experimental design , different types of individuals or participants are exposed to each condition in an experiment. In this case, sales workshop is the condition in the experiment and different participants in group will be exposed. For example - Group A comprises of 10 participants and Group B comprises of 10 different participants , who will participate in workshop and their reaction will be observed. There will no partiallity as randomly the participants will be chosen. The effect of this will be that there will be no biasness between participants and they can be more focused during the sales workshop. There will be one more effect that as 10 Different participant will participate in the workshop, we can get to know different perceptions of both the groups and the common point could be simplified. It may happen that one group likes the workshop and the other group doesn't, this conclusion doesn't mean that one group is right and the other one is wrong. Both the groups have independent reactions which are beneficial for study.

Ans -2)Yes, the presence of a professional player will attract shoppers and increase its sale. A professional player indicates physical fitness and athletism, which will inspire people to be more fit and health conscious and if a player is present in a store, it means that he/she shops from that store to be fit and this persuade people to buy from that store. It can be more clear by Matched Pair design where there can be two groups A and B . Group a and group b will have different participants but will be of same characteristics like age, sex, income etc. This design can tell us whether the person who are conscious about health gets persuaded by the player or not.
