The value of alpha diversity here is 2 as there are 2 species found over here within the given habitat.

The value of beta diversity over here is 3, this is calculated based on the amount of resources consumed by the elk in comparison to the bison.

Over time, these species will be able to coexist if we were to look at the comparison between the amount of resources consumed by them. One elk consumes the same amount of resources as that consumed by 0.25 bison. Considering the elk carrying capacity and the bison carrying capacity of the park, and also the amount of resources consumed by each species, there is a great chance that the species can coexist.
