R1 = negligible, R’2 =0.3 Ω, Rφ = infinite, X1 = 1.131 Ω, X’2 = 1.131 Ω and
Xφ = 37.7 Ω.
Rotational losses are negligible. Assume the stator is connected to a 440 V, 60 Hz
source and use the 6-parameters IEEE model.
a) Determine the motor starting torque. (5 points)
b) Calculate the motor breakdown torque. (5 points)
c) Find the motor breakdown speed. (5 points)
d) Determine the motor shaft torque when the motor drive a load at a speed of
1140 rpm. (5 points)
e) Calculate the motor efficiency for the condition in (d). (5 points)
