3. charging by conduction is done by direct contact. so, we touch the metallic cap with charged rod then there is conduction of charge from charged rod to electroscope,charge reach the leaf of electroscope and the separation between the leaf occurs.

4.charging by induction is done by bringing charged object near the metallic cap of electroscope. as there is electromagnetic induction due to charge of object. So opposite charge of object develops at the metallic  cap and opposite at the leaf of electroscope.
