There are many differences between cloud and traditional computing.

the main difference is how they are delivered and cost of accessing the resources.

Traditional computing :

If you buy your own server by spending capital for the server, storage etc., whether it is utilized completely or not.

Here scalability is a issue and you have to bear the cost whether the resources are used or not.

Cloud computing :

Cloud Com­put­ing is the abil­ity to access data any­where and any­time without the need of having to own any server.

you can simply take a server for rent which is already present.

you don't have to pay for anything unless you use it.

Scalibility is not an issue here, you can increase resources on-demand manner.
