Number of ways that six people sit in a row = 6! = 720

(Consider E and F one entiity & 2! Ways for E and F sitting )

Number of ways E and F sit to gather =2! * 5!

Number of ways can A,B,C,D,E and F sit in a row such that E and F do not sit to each other

= 6! - (2! * 5!)

= 720 - 240

= 480
