Answer #1

Answer

Both the drugs are used in pain management.Lidocaine act faster its onset if action is 2-5 min after injection it is best option for pre incisional injection while bupivacaine act slower than lidocaine its onset of action is about 5-10 min after injection but its effect is longer about 4-8 hour.So it is best option for post operative  pain management. So lidocaine followed by bupivacaine shows best effect by offering short onset of action along with prolonged duration of action offered by bupivacaine.
