Answer #1

Given

Density of a liquid = 1.17 g / cm 3

Mass of a liquid = 3.02 kg

Volume of a liquid = ?

We have relation, density = Mass / volume

On rearranging above relation, we get Volume = Mass / density

We have relation, 1 kg = 1000 g.

1 kg / 1000 g = 1 = 1000 g / 1 kg

We have relation , 1 L = 1000 cm 3

1 L / 1000 cm 3 = 1 = 1000 cm 3 / 1 L

Volume of a liquid = ( 3.02 kg / 1.17 g / cm 3 ) ( 1000 g / 1 kg ) (  1 L / 1000 cm 3 )

Volume of a liquid = 2.58 L

ANSWER : Volume of a liquid = 2.58 L
