We need indexing to help us in the processes of inserting, deleting, and searching data in both ordered and unordered files.
Discuss the indexing types and subtypes, state your opinion about what type is suitable for each type of files, also clarify the degree of difficulty of inserting, deleting, and searching for each of the indexing type.use your own words and no handwriting

ANSWER:

As you know,Indexing is a type of data structure used in DBMS to quickly retrieve records from your database.There are 2 types of indexing

1)PRIMARY INDEXING

2)SECONDARY INDEXING

PRIMARY INDEXING: It is made of Fixed length size of 2 fields one is PRIMARY KEY FIELD and the other is a pointer to the DATA BLOCK.

It is again classified into 2 types

1)DENSE INDEX

RECORD created for every search key in database

Advantages: High availability of data , so searching is faster

DISADVANTAGES: High availability of Memory

2)SPARSE INDEX

Shows record for only for some values in the file,

ADVANTAGES :Resolves Dense Indexing issue

SECONDARY INDEX

constructed by a field having unique name.so that the mapping sizes to the block will be reduced.
