It is because wherever there is heat land or heating up of land, the wind coming in contact with it will get warm and rise after becoming very light. After rising up, it will start getting cool at dry adiabatic rate up to reach of condensation level. After it is cooled down, it creates high pressure and brings cold climate. Thus weather associated with heating up of land is warmer as compared to the region of high pressure (or low temperature). This creates warm climate there.
