Answer #1

Over justification effect refers to a phenomenon where the extrinsic motivational factors such as money, gifts and other material rewards do not act as motivating factors, instead the person would be motivated by recognition of his/her work, respect in the workplace or school, job or work satisfaction etc. This would mean the child would be able to understand that the child should do things in order to do things well and succeed in life and the employees of an organization should feel that they are driven by the value that they create through their contribution and not by the value that they get for their work. This intrinsic motivation would last long whereas the extrinsic motivation is temporary because in the absence of that motivational factors, the organism wouldn’t work.
