Design a practical method to determine the centroid of an armchair. Explain the principle behind your method.
Hang the given armchair from its one of the leg via a rope from a support. Then extrapolate the line formed by the rope through the body of the armchair. Now use other leg of armchair and repeat the same thing. The two extrapolated line will intersect at centroid. For more precise location we can hang chair by multiple points and repeat the same exercise.
Why this method work.
This method work because the hanging chair is in rotational equilibrium. Therefore the center of mass or centroid will have to pass through the extrapolated line of the rope.

Determine whether a census is practical in the situation described. Explain your reasoning. You want to determine the mean height of all volleyball players in a country. Choose the correct answer below A census is practical. The population consis of the small number of players in a country, and it is easy to obtain their heights A census is not practical. The population consis of the large number of players in a country, and it is not easy to obtain...
Question 8 Determine whether a census is practical in the situation described. Explain your reasoning. You want to determine the mean length of all the snakes in Illinois O A census is practical. The population is small and it would be simple to measure their lengths. O A census is not practical. The number of snakes in Illinois is much too large
Census: Determine whether or not a census is practical in the situation described. Explain your reasoning. 4) You want to determine the average number of hours work last week by nurses employed at a small community hospital in Barnesville, Ohio. 5) You want to determine the proportion of Muslims in the world who actually support ISIS.

Explain your reasoning A sludent wants to determine the mean number of children of all professors in his or her classes Choose the corect answer below A. A census le not pracical. The population consists of a small number of professors in his or her classes, and t is easy to o blain their numbers of childrer population consists of a large number of professors in his or her...
Please answer 3 question with detail solution 4. Describe the operating principle behind an Erbium Doped Fiber Amplifier (EDFA). 5. You are required to design an optical communications system between two locations 300 km apart. The power transmitted is 0 dBm and the receiver sensitivity is -29 dBm. The attenuation coefficient for the cable is 0.24 dB/km and there is a splice every 4 km, with a loss of 0.1 dB per splice. If the connector loss is 0.2 dB...
1. Describe a uniform electric field. 2. Explain a practical method to create a uniform electric field. 3. In the electrode configuration of Figure 3-a, notice that the equipotential lines are circles which are closer to each other near the point terminal. Explain. (Hint: refer to the relation of the electric field around a point charge, and the relation where DV is the difference in potential between any two points, and r is the distance between them.) 4. In principle,...
